You may have noticed the lack of Julep Maven box reviews as of lately. None of the recent collections have really spoken to me so I have been skipping my boxes. I did however, order a trio of nail polishes during one of Julep’s many sales. Gabrielle was one of the three nail polishes in that set.
Gabrielle is described as a smoky mulberry cream. It’s a medium-dark purple with gray undertones that leans warm. The consistency is on the thicker side so you could get away with one heavier coat for full coverage. In the pictures below I applied two thinner coats and the color evens out nicely to be fully opaque without any streaking or balding. Gabrielle has a creme finish that’s very glossy even without a top coat.
The wear time is great. Gabrielle lasts 5 days on me without any chipping. By the end there was some tip wear but nothing too noticeable.
Overall this is an awesome polish. The color is maybe more appropriate for the fall and the winter but in my opinion it’s a great neutral that can be worn all year round.
Julep nail polishes are 0.27 fl oz and cost $14 ($11.20 Maven price).
