Tag: The Seven Deadly Sins Of Makeup

The lovely Ginger from Ginger loves Makeup invited me the other day to do The Seven Deadly Sins tag. I had already read her post and thought it was a great so of course I had to participate.

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?

Probably the Naked3 palette although, in all fairness, I didn’t pay for it myself. The very best boyfriend got it for me for Christmas. He’s just that awesome.

Wrath: What item do you have a strong love/hate relationship with?

Eye liner. I love the way it looks when I finally get it right but it takes me forever to do. On top of that, I can never seem to get “the flick” to look good or get both eyes even. Sigh.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?

My collection is pretty spread out over a host of different brands – NARS, Estée Lauder, Clinique, Revlon, theBalm, Urban Decay, tarte, Too Faced… Going by sheer numbers Benefit seems to be in the majority but that is mainly because of all the samples I got in the Countdown To Love Calendar.

Sloth: What product do you ignore the most due to laziness?

Eye Shadow. I just don’t seem to have enough time in the morning.

Pride: Which product gives you the most confidence?

Foundation. Struggling with blemishes and acne scars I wouldn’t want to leave the house without it. Close second: mascara.

Lust: What item is at the top of your list?

I don’t really have any makeup items on my wish list this very moment but Caroline Hirons’ blog has introduced me to a variety of skincare products I’d like to try. I already mentioned a few in my latest skin care routine post but since then I’ve added a variety of other items to my mental wish list. High up are the two Nourish and Goat Milk moisturizers and the Quench Hydrating Mask by Kate Somerville as well as the Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum. The top spot goes to the Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Moisture Booster which unfortunately isn’t available in the US directly.

Envy: Which makeup product/look looks great on others but not on you?

Red Lipstick. I just can’t seem to pull it off.

So here they are, my seven deadly sins of makeup (and skin care). Feel free to do this tag as well if you are interested and make sure to leave a comment below so that I can see your answers.

    1. You’re welcome. It’s an awesome tag.
In regards to red lipstick: I’m just too fair plus blonde hair and blue eyes.. It just doesn’t seem to go well together. I love it on anyone with dark hair, though.
