JULEP – Boho Glam Box November 2013

This month was my first regular Julep Maven month. I debated for a long time whether to get any of the boxes and if so, which one. I have the sneaking suspicion that Julep always pairs one awesome nail polish color with one mediocre one. I loved the desert sand microglitter Cynthia from the Classic With a Twist box, the warm cocoa frost Chloe from the It Girl box, and the black crimson creme Nic from the Bombshell box.

Ultimately I decided on the Boho Glam box. Aisha, a wildberry purple creme, instantly caught my eye. It’s such a beautiful, rich fall color. The other color in the box, Alexandra, is a rather boring beige creme. I don’t particularly care for this color because I don’t think it looks good one me. However, I think it would be great for trying myself at some nail art.

The last item in the box was a lip gloss in a shade called Charming. It’s a sheer mauve color that gives me a my-lips-but-better look. I’m normally not one for lip glosses but this one smells delicious and is not particularly sticky which is a nice change from other lip glosses.

This month the box also included a sample of the Luxe Repair Skin Serum. Unfortunately, I already received the full size with my introductory box. Oh well.

All in all I’m pretty happy with this box. I really like Aisha and the lip gloss is very nice too. Each nail polish is 0.27 fl oz and costs $14 ($11.20 Maven price). The lip gloss contains .25 fl oz at $22 ($17.60 Maven price) and it comes in four more colors. The total value of the box comes to $50, or $40 if you go by the Maven price.

Which box did you decide to get this month? What did you think of it?
