I’ve mentioned the Too Faces Size Queen Mascara many times by now (e.g., here and here). As you guys know, this is my go-to mascara. I love it so much that I stocked up with a one-year supply when BeautyBrands had their LashBash earlier this year. I figured that it was about time to do a review.
“This keratin-infused, curl-setting formula works synergistically with the gigantic, dual-helix brush to create big lashes. The massive, corkscrew-shaped brush includes two types of bristles. Long, lengthening bristles and short, volumizing fibers allow you to grab, coat, and condition every single lash for a lavish, layered effect. In just one coat, lashes are ultra-long, thick, defined and curled.”
I think the packaging is really cute. It’s baby pink with gold accents. And what girl doesn’t like pink?
The thing that most people comment on with this mascara is the sheer size of the brush. It’s HUGE and it can be kinda intimidating. In the beginning it may be difficult to use and if you’re not careful you will get mascara on your lids. Now that I’ve had some practice with this brush I love it and I’m not having any trouble with it. I find myself using the tapered tip of the brush to get the shorter lashes in the corner of my eyes as well as the lower lash line. The main part of the brush is great to get the length of the upper lash line.
What I love about this mascara is that it does a great job at separating, lengthening, volumizing, and curling my lashes. I only need one coat to achieve great results. My lashes look well definied but still natural. A second coat adds some more volume but there is not much of an overall difference.
I love that there is zero clumping with this mascara. No spider lashes in sight. It doesn’t flake throughout the day but removes very easily with makeup remover wipes.
Some small cons for me are that this mascara only comes in one color, pitch black. It would be nice to also have a dark brown color available as black can be a bit harsh on us blonde girls. Secondly, the wand handle tends to crack over time. I think that this is a problem because it may allow air to enter the container and dry out the mascara. However, these are just small complaints and in no way negate the awesomeness that is the Too Faced Size Queen Mascara.
At $21 it’s by no means a cheap mascara but in my opinion it’s well worth it. The Too Faces Size Queen Mascara delivers on all accounts for me. I think that it makes my lashes simply look beautiful. What more can you ask for?
