I’m in Blueberry Heaven! Yes to Blueberries – Cleansing Facial Towelettes and eos – Blueberry Acai Lip Balm

The other day I read Dragonfly’s September Birchbox review and I discovered something life-changing: blueberry scented facial towelettes. I absolutely love blueberries. I had just run out of my usual makeup remover wipes and was ready to try something new. So I went to Target and while there I also picked up the eos Blueberry Acai Lip Balm. Impulse buy of the day. I don’t really need anymore lip balms but how could I say No. IT’S BLUEBERRY!!!!!!

3, 2, 1, deep breath… Now, that I regained my composure let’s talk about these two beauties.

I'm in Blueberry Heaven

Yes to Blueberries – Cleansing Facial Towelettes – 25 ct, $5.99

These ‘Brightening Facial Towelettes’ are formulated with Blueberries and Coconut to gently cleanse, remove makeup, and moisturize skin all in one. With Lemon Peel and Apple to help brighten skin, these are a great addition to our Age Refresh collection. They leave your skin feeling clean, youthful, and glowy!

  • 99% Natural
  • Made with compostable, FSC certified fabric
  • Petroleum, SLS, & Paraben Free
  • Cruelty-free

Yes to Blueberries is the anti-aging line of the Yes to brand. Now, I’m not necessarily old enough to feel like I need to use anti-aging products. However, I think that it can’t hurt either.

I really like that they are 99% natural (or 98% according to the product packaging) and that the cloths are biodegradable. For me, it’s not a requirement that a beauty product is (almost) all-natural, organic, or cruelty-free but it’s a big added bonus.

These wipes do a great job at removing my everyday makeup. They only struggled with my waterproof Eyeko Black Magic mascara. It took a quite a bit of rubbing to remove it but in the end they got the job done. This is not a deal-breaker for me since I don’t use waterproof mascara every day.

The cloths are soft and contain a good amount of cleansing lotion. They leave my skin nicely moisturized without being greasy or sticky. I could see how they may be too moisturizing for someone with oily skin but for my dry skin they’re just right. And the scent is simply heavenly: very blueberry-y with a hint of lemon.

eos – Blueberry Acai Lip Balm – 0.25 oz, $2.99

Give your lips a healthy boost with this all-natural, antioxidant-rich lip balm that is filled with refreshing blueberry and acai flavors.

eos lip balm in Blueberry Acai is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps your lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth.

This lip balm doesn’t only smell like blueberry, it also tastes like it. Which results in me eating it off my lips before it can do much good. Nevertheless, it does a pretty good job at making my lips nice and smooth. In my opinion it isn’t quite as nourishing as NIVEA lip balms (my favorite).

I don’t particularly care for the shape of this lip balm case, although it’s quite unique. I just find it too bulky to put in my handbag or jeans pocket but it looks nice on my dresser.

All in all I can highly recommend both products to all the blueberry lovers out there. I’m especially excited about the Yes to Blueberries Facial Towelettes. This is the first skin care line I’ve come across that is blueberry scented. I’m sure I’ll pick up some of the other products from this line in the future, simply for the scent.

Have you every bought a product primarily for the scent? What is your favorite?

  1. I have definitely bought products mainly for the scent. I love coconut and have a lot of lotion and lip balm that are coconut. I’d like to try EOS lip balm someday. I have way too much lip balm at the moment though.
